The Conway Center for Family Business is now accepting nominations for its 12th Annual Family Business Awards Program that honors family businesses for outstanding achievements and milestones. Nominations are due to the Conway Center by August 30, 2010.

Conway Center Seminar on August 5, 2010 to Help Family Businesses Develop Health Care Reform Strategies
The Conway Center for Family Business will help family business leaders develop a plan to address looming changes in health care coverage during its next professional education program. Responding to Health Care Reform: Have You Formed a Strategy? will take place on Thursday, August 5, 2010, from 7:30-10:00 a.m., at Ohio Dominican University's Alumni Hall, 1216 Sunbury Road.
President of Plante Moran Group Benefit Advisors, LLC, Edward Murphy, CEBS, and Plante Moran tax partner Bernie Ostrowski, JD, CPA, will discuss the new law and its implications with a special focus on the challenges faced by family businesses. Murphy and Ostrowski also will review the expected consequences of the legislation, including the tax consequences, employer responsibilities and effects on employee benefit plan design and offerings.

Conway Center to Host Family Business Night at the Columbus Clippers
Family Business Night at the Clippers will provide an opportunity for family business leaders from Central Ohio to spend time networking and sharing their experiences while enjoying a hometown baseball game between the division leading Columbus Clippers and the Indianapolis Indians, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates, respectively on Tuesday, June 29, at 7:05 p.m. at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio.

Conway Center for Family Business Launches New Web Site
The Conway Center for Family Business, located in Columbus, Ohio, today launched an upgraded and expanded Web site, www.familybusinesscenter.com. The site is an educational resource and destination for Central Ohio family business leaders. The site includes information about local educational programs and networking events for those who own, lead or work for family-owned businesses, case studies and current news about family business issues.
