Can You Divide a Family Business Gracefully?
The Conway Center for Family Business will explore the challenges and benefits of dividing a family business into separate entities in its educational program "Splitting the Family Business Gracefully" from 7:30-9:00 a.m. on March 17th at Ohio Dominican University's Alumni Hall. The presentation will feature case studies from Sarah Chambers, of Thompson Hine, and Mark and Jerry Modlich, of Modlich Stoneworks and Modlich Monument Company. They will discuss motivating factors, hurdles, strategies and legal issues involved in developing a second family-owned business.

Conway Named to CCFB Advisory Board
The Conway Center for Family Business today named Steven J. Conway, Highway Products Sales Manager, Nucor Steel Marion, Inc. to its advisory board. Not only has the Conway family been actively involved with the Center since its beginning in 1998, but they made a long-term grant to help sustain and grow the organization to increase its service to family-owned businesses. The Conway name was incorporated with the Center's in 2007 to reflect the leadership grant.

Expert to Share Best Practices for Hiring Family Members
The Conway Center for Family Business will present "The Ins and Outs of Hiring Family Members in Your Family Business" on Thursday, February 17, 7:30-9:00 a.m., at Alumni Hall at Ohio Dominican University, 1216 Sunbury Road. Conway Center Honors Local Family Businesses for 2010 Achievements
Columbus, Ohio -- The Conway Center for Family Business honored more than 20 family-owned businesses at its 12th Annual Family Business Awards Program on Friday, November 5th, at Catering By Design, 6465 Busch Boulevard.
