14th Annual Awards Program to Honor Central Ohio Family Businesses

The Conway Center for Family Business will present 20 awards to Central Ohio family businesses and supporters at the 14th Annual Family Business Awards Program on Friday, November 2, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., at Catering By Design, 6465 Busch Boulevard.

Tickets for the event cost $35.00 per person/$250.00 per table for Conway Center members and $60.00 per person/$450.00 per table for non-members. Roundtable to Help Family Business Leaders Master Vital Communication Skills

Family Member of The Andersons will share tips for leadership and motivation

The Conway Center for Family Business will host "Mastering Communication to Manage Relationships in Your Family Business", a roundtable featuring Steven Anderson, founder of Integrated Leadership Systems (ILS) and member of family-owned business, The Andersons.

Anderson will teach members of family businesses how to advance their communication skills to improve leadership abilities in themselves and their staff and to negotiate tough conversational topics such as compensation, performance, productivity and succession

Eradicating Entitlement in the Next Generation

Columbus, OH - Alex Freytag, a partner in Ownership Thinking LLC, will lead the Conway Center for Family Business' educational program, "Eradicating Entitlement in Your Family Business" from 7:30-9:00 a.m. on September 20 at Alumni Hall at Ohio Dominican University, 1216 Sunbury Road. Family business leaders Greg Guy, of Air Force One, and John Strawser, of Valley Interior Systems, also will share their personal experiences during the panel discussion.
