Family Business: From White Castle to the White House
White Castle and FEUSA Representatives Share Mission for Family Business Advocacy
Columbus, OH -- Jamie Richardson, White Castle's vice president of government and shareholder relations, and Ann Kinkade, president of Family Enterprise USA, will discuss family business advocacy efforts in a Conway Center for Family Business educational program designed to motivate and empower Central Ohio family business leaders. "Beyond the Three Circles: The Impact of External Factors on Your Family Business", will take place from 7:30-9:00 a.m. on January 19 at Ohio Dominican University's Alumni Hall, 1216 Sunbury Road. A Hometown Legend: The Ingredients for Wendy's Restaurants Success
Pam Farber, daughter of Wendy's® founder Dave Thomas and Vice President of Thomas Limited 5, will share how Wendy's Restaurants got started and the roles family members played in developing the chain into a family business success story in a candid interview with Conway Center board member Mike Schoedinger, of Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service.
Farber will share stories about her dad's original vision of providing for his family, reaching the pinnacle of Wendy's® success, being the child of an entrepreneur, and becoming a leader of a multi-unit franchise group. Participants also will learn how Wendy's® became a household name with more than 6,500 restaurants in 26 countries and territories worldwide, and how the whole family contributed to creating this iconic family business.

Conway Center to Celebrate Family Business Success
The Conway Center for Family Business will recognize high-achieving Central Ohio family businesses and supporters at the 13th Annual Family Business Awards Program on Friday, November 4th from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., to be held at Catering By Design, 6465 Busch Boulevard.
