Roundtable to Help Family Business Leaders Master Vital Communication Skills
Family Member of The Andersons will share tips for leadership and motivation

“Mastering Communication to Manage Relationships in Your Family Business”, will feature Steven Anderson, founder of Integrated Leadership Systems (ILS) and member of family-owned business, The Andersons.

Anderson will teach members of family businesses how to advance their communication skills to improve leadership abilities in themselves and their staff and to negotiate tough conversational topics such as compensation, performance, productivity and succession.

The roundtable will take place from 8:00-9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26 at Ohio Dominican University’s Griffin Student Center (Room 274), 1216 Sunbury Road. Contact Deana Gordon at gordon@familybusinesscenter.com or 614-253-4820 to RSVP. The event is free for Conway Center members and $25 for non-members.

ILS trainers help managers develop a better understanding of how to be true leaders and skills to motivate employees within their company. Anderson says, “We are in the business of improving the world community by empowering people to lead more effectively.” ILS gives back to the community by giving five percent of its net income to a variety of charities that help educate, promote arts, help the environment or encourage world peace.

Anderson has worked with many family business leaders, drawing from his experience in his own family’s business. Companies he’s worked with include Elmer’s Products, Worthington Industries, Accent Energy, Honda of America, Nationwide, and George J. Igel & Co. He also is the author of several books including “How to Create a World Class Company.” He earned his Master’s degree from Capital University in Business Administration and his PhD from The Ohio State University in Counseling Psychology.
