Best Practices in Governance: Choosing the Right Team for Your Family Business

Kent Johnson, CEO of Highlights for Children, and Kurt Schmitt, president of Lincoln Construction, will help family business leaders incorporate the benefits of good governance structure in their own enterprises at Conway Center for Family Business's December educational program. The session will take place from 7:30-9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13 in Alumni Hall at Ohio Dominican University, 1216 Sunbury Road.
Kurt Schmitt, of Lincoln Construction, will share how he developed a valuable team of advisors and how it benefitted his family business. Schmitt’s presentation will help family business leaders plan for essential business needs from developing business strategies to finding trusted advisors, in order to prepare their team to win in the coming year.
Kent Johnson, from Highlights for Children, will discuss strategies for developing and implementing a governance structure and outline ways to prepare the next generation for leadership roles. In addition, Johnson will share the skills required for healthy relations between family members, management and owners.
