Guest Policy

The Conway Center for Family Business encourages potential members to come to a Center Educational Program as a guest. The guest fee is $35 per person. Any guest fees paid will be deducted from the cost of membership when a company joins the Center within 30 days of attending an event. Guests of current members may attend an educational program at no charge if they would like to attend to learn more about the Conway Center and the benefits of membership.

The Conway Center for Family Business is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides educational resources and programs for family-owned businesses in Franklin and surrounding counties. Your donation to the Conway Center will help Central Ohio family businesses continue to thrive and drive economic development. Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and is tax-deductible.

Undergraduate Coursework

Learn to build and sustain a family business with the Entrepreneurship and Family Business course at ODU. Taught every two years by executive director Dick Emens and advisory board members Bea Wolper and Thaddeus O'Brien, the course is essential training for family business leaders.

Entrepreneurship and Family Business provides background in family business basics, including an overview of the structure, business leadership, and cultural dynamics necessary to build and sustain a family business. Topics also include strategic, estate and succession planning; an understanding of business and family and how they overlap in a family business, and management of life-long relationships with families, businesses and wealth.
