Managing the Impact of Marriage on the Family Business: From Pre-Nupts to Practical Advice on Work/Life Balance

The Conway Center for Family Business will host a panel discussion on “Managing the Impact of Marriage on the Family Business: From Pre-Nupts to Practical Advice on Work/Life Balance.” Facilitated by Center co-founder and President of Emens & Wolper Law Firm, Bea Wolper. Dianne Grote Adams and her husband Bill Adams from Safex, and Renee and Darwin Sigman from Yesteryear Acres, will share their thoughts and experiences on working together in the business. They will share what works – and what doesn’t – as well as practical advice on some of the legal issues involved with being married and in business together.

Our 20th Anniversary Celebration & Hall of Fame is shaping up to be a spectacular event!

They will share results from a recent survey of Conway members, feedback gained through interviews with married couples who are in business together, as well as lessons learned from their personal experience. They will also share tips about how to keep relationships strong to be your best in business and in marriage.

Adverse Weather Plan

With the snowy winter we’re having, we’d like to remind you of our adverse weather policy. We typically only cancel for a Level 2 Emergency or if the University shuts down. In the event that we do cancel a program, we will send an email notification to our members by 6 a.m. You can also check the specific event’s page on our website and ODU’s website for closure information.
